The fun colors and shapes of this take anywhere puzzle game with the built in game boards, draws in everyone! The 101 puzzles start out as a simple design copy task. Players place pieces on the 3” x 5” recessed and dimpled playing areas as shown in the 48 page design book. Beginning puzzles leave out only one piece that players must fit into the remaining recesses. As you progress the exact location of more and more pieces are not provided and so more and more puzzle must be solved. After all the rectangular puzzles are solved try the 3-D pyramid puzzles, if you dare! Great for building on problem solving, spatial concepts, visual imagery and concentration skills.

Over 30 reproducible graphing activities help develop listening skills and visual motor control while providing practice in following directions and reinforcing left/right and up/down awareness. By listening to or reading the directions, (i.e. right 2 spaces, down 4 spaces, etc.) Students move their pencils accordingly to create the clever pictures. The majority of the activities are on one-inch grid paper with the last 12 designed for one half-inch grid or coordinate paper. Use of coordinate paper and directions is more challenging (i.e. B-11, A-11, A-12, F-12, etc.). For each activity a reduced image of the final product is provided so students can check their work.

To say it plainly, the Lokon System makes kids think! And they are motivated to do just that by the brightly colored, engaging graphics and the quality materials with which they get to play. Each set comes with 4 exercise cards and a transparent self-correction card, and is to be used with a set of Lokon Squares (sold separately). Based on the code specified on each exercise card, colored squares are placed on top of the appropriate spaces, until all 16 spaces are covered. Lokon exercises help students to think logically as they analysis and interpret complex visual information. Organization, language and hand skills are also challenged. Lokon squares can be joined together as they cover the spaces but they can also be used solo to build original designs or as part of a design copy task. Can you guess what number I'm thinking of? Well, in this awarding winning game, that is just what you do. After the number cards (1-50) are spread out on the table, one player picks a number. Players then take turns trying to guess the chosen number. If guess is wrong, that number card is turned over to reveal a question, the answer to which will be a clue to figuring out the mystery number. For example, "Is it even?" "Is there 5 in the number?" etc. Each answer given helps narrow down the possibilities. A game of numerical logic that promotes critical thinking and deductive reasoning.
