Write From the Start A radically different program for developing the fine motor and perceptual skills needed for effective handwriting. The two-workbook program first presents exercises to develop the intrinsic muscles of the hand, gaining the control required to form the varied letter shapes. Secondly, the program develops the perceptual skills required to orient letters and organize the writing page. In total, there are over 400 carefully graded exercises to develop hand eye coordination, form constancy, spatial organization and laterality. Each book has 128 perforated pages for ease in photocopying. All terms and exercise rationales clearly explained, and supplemental activities are provided. A unique program, ideally suited for students 3.6 - 11 years, with specific perceptual or motor coordination weaknesses, dyspraxia or mild to moderate learning difficulties.
