This clear pen with the blue crystal ball may be just the motivator you have been missing for improving writing endurance and adjusting writing pressure. With too much pressure the light in the end of the pen stays on. With too little pressure it does not come on at all. With typical variations of pressure the light will flash on and off. For those students who write too lightly, ask them to keep the light on as they write or draw. If they tend to push too hard, ask them to not let the light come on at all. The light provides immediate feedback as to what the hand is doing. For some people the tactile feedback is not enough.
