The Sensory Processing Measure (SPM) offers a complete picture of a child’s sensory functioning at home, at school and in the community. Recognizing that sensory processing problems often manifest differently in different environments, this set of 3 integrated rating forms assesses sensory processing, praxis, and social participation in elementary school children (ages 5-12). Firmly grounded in sensory integration theory, it provides norm-referenced standard scores for 2 higher level integrative functions - praxis and social participation - and 5 sensory systems - visual, auditory, tactile, proprioceptive, and vestibular functioning. Sensory Scrub Brushes
Scrub-a-dub-dub! The bristles of this small rectangular plastic surgical scrub brush feel soft if used in one direction but stiff and coarse if used in other direction. The bristle tips are specially cut to create a three sided point so more surface area of the brush makes contact with the skin. This fast and frantic search for aliens begins with the roll of a die telling you what shape alien you are loooking for. Roll a triangle and your job is to circle as many triangle shaped aliens on your board as you can beore another player gets an alien face to appear in the shaker egg. At that time, the other player starts their search for aliens and you start shaking that egg! First player to circle/capture all their aliens is the winner. Great new game plays like beginning checkers but with more colors and more jumping. Start by filling the board randomly with all the colorful markers. On each turn players make as many jumps as they can, stacking their “take” by color on their home base. When no more jumps/moves can be made, the winner will be the player with the most complete sets of each color skipper. Players learn to plan moves and jumps so they get the color they need and maybe block their opponents from getting the colors they need.
